Patil Mercho
Registered Nurse - Certified Baby Reflux Practitioner, Nutrition, Colic, and Associated Allergies.
Hi, I’m Patil, a Registered Nurse, mom of one (with another little one on the way!), and a passionate advocate for helping families find peace and healing through understanding their baby’s struggles whether they are breastfed, formula-fed, or just starting solids.
For years, I worked in the fast-paced environment of hospital emergency rooms, and a clinic caring for adults and often avoiding pediatric cases because it broke my heart to see a child in pain. Everything changed when I became a mother myself.
After what seemed like a smooth birth, my baby began showing classic signs of silent reflux. What followed were endless sleepless nights, countless doctor visits, medication trials, elimination diets, and endless frustration. Fast-forward to starting solids, everything got even WORSE. Nothing truly helped… until I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I immersed myself in research, connected with the right specialists, and within one week, my son was like a new baby. That experience changed my life and my career path forever. I decided to become a reflux specialist myself.
Today, I combine my medical background as an RN, with specialized certifications in infant reflux, colic, allergies, and a diploma in nutrition to help families find the root cause behind their baby’s discomfort, not just offer “Band-Aid” advice or temporary fixes. I know firsthand how painful it is to feel helpless, and my mission is to ensure no parent has to go through those months of confusion and guilt like I did.
No baby should be in pain. No parent should feel lost. Healing is possible, and I’m here to help you find it.
My Philosophy
Have you ever been told to “keep your baby upright for 20 minutes after every feed” or “raise the head of the crib by a few inches” or “burp every few minutes”? Maybe you’ve even heard “let’s just increase the medication dose” or “we’ll try a new one so your baby will be on two meds” or “maybe it’s time to change formulas again.” Or maybe you’ve been told “your baby isn’t gaining enough weight, so you should pump to see how much they’re eating” or “add thickeners to their milk” or “fortify your breastmilk with formula to increase calories.”
I’ve heard them all too. And deep down, we both know these aren’t sustainable solutions.
If you’ve ever had that gut feeling that your baby shouldn’t need medications just to get through the day, that something deeper must be going on, you’re right.
A few-week-old baby shouldn’t spend most of the day crying or uncomfortable.
I don’t believe in bandaid advice or quick fixes that only mask symptoms. My approach focuses on finding what’s really going on, because every baby has their own story, and every cause of reflux or colic looks a little different.
There’s always a reason behind your baby’s discomfort, and together we’ll uncover it. I’ll guide you step by step with personalized recommendations so that you and your baby can finally feel calm, comfortable, and connected again.
